In the 1970s, Kehinde Wiley was inspired to become an artist by childhood visits to the Huntington library outside of Los Angeles.

In 2018, he painted President Obama's entry to the National Portrait Gallery.

This film follows his project of classical portraits of African-American women in 18th/19th century poses whom were street-cast in 21st century New York City.

Showing at The Alcazar Theater located at 4916 Carpinteria Avenue. Hosted by the Carpinteria Arts Center. Suggested donation: $5.
